Although the '99 hurricane season had been quiet for the first two months, Hurricane Bret caught everyone's attention. Riding out a hurricane can be like solving a murder mystery. You just never know till it's all over.

Hurricane Bret churned up the gulf waters bringing surfers from all over to take their turns cutting the waves.
