OH WHAT A NIGHT.... New Year's Eve. Well, lets just say I shouldn't
have drank as much as I did. It is not often that my wife and
I go out. With a six year old, going out is not an easy accomplishment,
especially with limited child care. Anyway, that was last year
and well, OOPS, I guess that was this year. OK, OK, I won't be
drinking that much anytime soon. And yes mother, Mindy drove home.
January 1, 1999
Well, the new year is upon us and we all make those resolutions. I chose to not make any resolutions as my resolution.
So there, I already broke mine. Now I don't have to worry the rest of the year about keeping it.
Through February 9, 1999
Okay, I apologize for not keeping up with this like I thought I would. I have been really busy with family projects and have been away from home every other weekend for the past month and a half. So here it goes:
The new photos on the left are some recent work that may have
made it to the photo of the week page had I taken the time to
put them there. But I didn't so here they are.
I have always loved shooting soccer. This photo is from a St.
Joseph High School game back in January. I thought I was about
to get run over.
The photo of the little girl with the candle was taken during
an antiabortion candle light march.
The windmill photo is part of a series that I am working on
for a Lifestyle cover piece that will be published some time in
early March. There are three holes in the tail fin that make a
star burst effect on the sunlight shining through them.
The next soccer photo was taken during a Stroman High School
girls soccer game. Shortly after the game started, a pouring shower
came down soaking the field. She slipped in one of the puddles
while going for the ball.
The basketball dunk photo is from a Stroman varsity game. I
don't expect a lot of dunking action during high school games,
and usually I am under the basket where it is nearly impossible
to catch a good dunk shot (at least with the camera and lens combination
that I use). This time I happened to be on the sidelines answering
a question asked of me by one of the team member's mother.
And finally the last soccer shot is from a Victoria High School
girls game. Honestly, I didn't think it was in focus after I shot
it, but to my surprise it was and turned out to be a really nice
shot.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I will be putting forth more effort to keep this updated more regularly. |
